Northwest Skagit Casting and Fishing Class

With Mike Kinney of the Deer Creek Guide Company

This is your opportunity to spend a day with Mike Kinney on his home waters the Saulk or Skagit Rivers of Northwest Washington State. Mike, with over 18 years of guiding on the Saulk and Skagit Drainages, has a very impressive record with over 7000 steelhead and a very high return rate of clients.

Mike has been building his Deer Creek Lines for the Skagit-style casting for over 15 years, and has developed one of the most effective casting styles. With his instructional skills, you will come away with a fresh enthusiasm fot the art of speycasting in general and a thorough knowledge of Skagit casting in particular.

As a Guide Mike's unique view of the where and how the fish hold and how to catch them is unserpast in the field. Mike's years on the rivers have given him great first-hand knowledge of fishing under a wide range of lake and river conditions. He has developed special flies, lines and techniques to match these conditions. He is considered one of the top contemporary teachers of fly fishing specializing in Speycasting. His teaching abilities will enhance your wet and dry fly presentation techniques on rivers around the world, helping you to maximize your day on the water whether fishing for trout, salmon, or steelhead.

All classes are spent on the river. Price: $250.00 per student with a max of two students.
