River Run Anlglers is proud to annouce the Additon of Mike Kinney and Brian Styskal to our instruction staff. Mike Kinney of the Deer Creek Guide Company has been working with me at the Day on the River Program of over a Year now. Mike's years on the rivers have given him great first-hand knowledge of fishing under a wide range of river conditions. Like many young boys I grew up fishing on small creeks and lakes or at Westport with my father. However, it was not until I discovered fly fishing I was able to truly understand the art, skill and peace of Angling. In the early 90s, I became a student of spey casting, concentrating on under hand techniques. I practiced in our pasture, on our small lake and of course on the river. As a continuence of my education I graduated to long line techniques where I was able to evolve my casting to a style I call my own. During this time I have been very fortunate to have as first a mentor and teacher, Mike Kinney. I am now even more fortunate to call him my friend. Spey casting is not just a hobby or a sport. It is my passion and religion, it has made me who I am. Aaron has provided the environment where I am able to continue not only my education, but to assist others to find the art of spey casting.
