Below you will find the guidelines for the casting competition. Plan on attending and participating at this gathering of the clans.

GAME RULES FOR COMPETITION
Men's Division & Ladies' Division
Equipment
A. Rod Categories
Standard class: Maximum length is 15 feet, and blank must be from recognized manufacturer.
Unlimited class: 18ft blank must be from recognized manufacturer
B. Line Classes:
Floating lines, Long belly Intermediate leaders
Shooting heads my be used class
C. Leader length: minimum nine (9) feet – maximum fifteen (15) feet for both classes.
D. Fly - visible yarn.
E. Time limits
Long belly - 5 Minutes for each shoulder
Shooting heads - 8 Minutes for each shoulder
Casts: Switch cast only
Basic Guidelines
A. Fly must anchor in front of caster.
B. Line and fly must turn over before the belly touches the water
C. Back cast will be limited to 40 ft. barrier
D. Competition with be held Friday & Saturday
E. Each competitor will make 2 switch casts, one from the right shoulder and one from the left shoulder.
F. Optional: - 2 practice cast in each direction - Right to Left and Left to Right over each shoulder
G. Four (4) measured casts in each direction.
H. Scoring will be the average of Four (4) measured casts combined.
I. Ten competitors with the top 10 combined cast distances will go to the final round.
Qualifying:
If there are more then 10 competitors, qualifying rounds will be held on Friday, October 21st at 1pm or Saturday, October 22nd at 1 pm. Finals will be held on Sunday, October 23rd at 1 pm.
Finals: Sunday 1 PM
A. There will 2 casts from the right, one over left shoulder and one over right shoulder
B. Competitors will cast in the water.
C. Competitors will cast in the order from lowest to the highest qualifying score.
D. If there is no qualifying round, the order will be determined by random draw.
